Section 47
Check to be presented when claiming on drawer
(1) No one can make a claim against the drawer without presenting the check to the bank on which the check is drawn. (2) If someone suffers any loss due to failure to present the check within a reasonable time, the amount of the loss cannot be claimed from the drawer.
